On Friday, March 5th, the Chamber held its Annual Banquet and Auction at The Gathering Place, 6 Pine Street, Mount Joy, PA. The theme this year was Wild, Wild West and Sandy Heisey provided the background music before dinner. Dinner consisted of barbecued ribs and chicken, beans, corn bread, and lots more and one of the desserts was Vinegar Pie! The auction brought in over $12,000 which will be used in the special projects and scholarships from the Chamber. As you can see by the pictures below, it was a wonderful evening!
The Mount Joy Chamber contributes to the Milanof-Schock Library and supports Main Street Mount Joy. In addition to supporting various local charities, the Chamber contributes to the Mount Joy Police Department. The Chamber also provides scholarships to Donegal High School and Lancaster County Career and Technology Center students. Each year a Chicken Barbecue is held in August. Last year on August 15th, the Chamber sold 750 dinners and 250 halves and as you can see from the pictures below, had a wonderful time doing it! A Great Place to Live, Work and Play! The Chamber provides the Annual Business Directory to all residents of the area, as well as to those who request relocation information. All Chamber members are included in the directory, as well as businesses that place advertisements.
