There’s something special about a summer evening in Mount Joy. Families gather with lawn chairs and blankets, neighbors catch up with one another, children play in the grass, and live music fills the air. The Mount Joy Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to continue that tradition with three upcoming Music in Memorial Park concerts this summer.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the series or planning your first visit, these free community events offer a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy local entertainment, and connect with friends and neighbors.
Join us on Sunday, July 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a performance by The Chestnuts. Featuring classic songs from country, rock, folk, and blues, their music is sure to have audiences singing along and enjoying a relaxing summer evening in the park.
Come early and grab dinner from Spud Muffin Food Truck, which will be on site beginning at 5 p.m. serving fresh-cut fries, loaded fries, and gourmet smash burgers made with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
The music continues on Sunday, August 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with Sweet Mary. This classic rock cover band brings popular rock hits to life with energetic performances and their own unique style.
Piper Belles BBQ will be serving up barbecue favorites beginning at 5 p.m., making it easy to enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the music.
The series concludes on Sunday, August 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a performance by The Malta Band.
From beloved concert band classics and traditional marches to contemporary selections and popular favorites, The Malta Band’s diverse repertoire offers something for audiences of all ages. Their performance is a fitting finale to another great season of Music in Memorial Park.
We’ll also celebrate Mount Joy’s 175th “half birthday” with free hot dogs courtesy of Denny Brandt of Berkshire Hathaway HomeSale Realty and Greg Sallade of State Farm, along with free ice cream courtesy of the Ginder family (while supplies last). Come join the fun as we celebrate our community’s rich history while enjoying a wonderful evening of music in the park.
