Chamber Mixers provide a relaxed setting for members to connect and network. Members have the opportunity to host these events, giving your business or organization a chance to welcome fellow members, share what you do, and build relationships in a casual atmosphere.

educational opportunity

Each year, the Chamber hosts the Annual Economic Update, featuring a speaker from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. This valuable seminar provides insights into the regional economy and helps members stay informed for better business planning.

Continuing education

The Mount Joy Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies to offer a 15% tuition discount to Chamber members, their employees, spouses, and dependents.

Chamber members may request access to the full membership and mailing list once per year. The list is provided as an Excel file, making it easy to connect with fellow members for networking, marketing, or outreach purposes.

Liaison Between Business and Borough

The Chamber helps facilitate communication and connections between local businesses and the Mount Joy Borough. We serve as a resource to keep members informed and connected with borough representatives and initiatives.

All Chamber members are listed in our online directory, making it easy for community members, visitors, and other businesses to find you. Each listing includes your company information and a direct link to your website—helping drive traffic and new connections your way.

Chamber members may advertise at no cost in our monthly e-newsletter, which is sent directly to all members. It’s a great way to share your news, promote special offers, or highlight upcoming events—right in the inbox of fellow businesses and community organizations.

Members get two free listings in the directory and discounted advertising. The directory is mailed to Mount Joy residents in the Donegal Merchandiser and given to new residents in the Chamber Welcome Bags.

The Chamber distributes welcome bags to new Mount Joy residents, helping them get to know the local businesses and services that make our community special. Chamber members can include promotional items or brochures in the bags for a minimal participation fee—a great way to make a memorable first impression.

SPONSORSHIP opportunities

Chamber members have the chance to sponsor community events and other special programs throughout the year. Sponsorships are a great way to increase your visibility, show your support for Mount Joy, and connect with residents in a meaningful way. 

Mount joy money (gift certificates)

Members may choose to participate in our Mount Joy Money program, which encourages shopping local by keeping dollars in our community. There’s no cost to join or accept Mount Joy Money, and no fee for customers to purchase it. It’s a simple way to support local business—yours included!

Chamber members are welcome to display brochures and business information at the Chamber office, which also serves as Mount Joy’s official Visitors Center. It’s a great way to reach new residents, visitors, and community members who stop by to learn more about the area.

The Mount Joy Chamber is active on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn—and we’re here to help our members get noticed. We regularly like and share posts from member businesses to boost your visibility and connect you with the wider community.

Members can also request a visit from Mount Joy Minnie, our groundhog mascot, who loves learning about local businesses and sharing what she discovers on social media. Minnie’s videos are also featured on our YouTube channel.

Pennsylvania Chamber insurance

Through our partnership with the Pennsylvania Chamber, members have access to benefits consulting and savings on ancillary products and specialty insurance coverages. This program helps businesses find the right insurance solutions at competitive rates.

Scholarships

Each year, the Chamber awards scholarships totaling $4,500 to high school, college, and Janus School students. These scholarships are made possible through the support of our members—helping invest in the future of our community.
