The Mount Joy Chamber is once again accepting monetary and gift card donations for homeless students in the Donegal School District and their families.

Currently, the Donegal School District has 56 homeless students, 17 of whom are unaccompanied youth. This count does not include the students’ parents or preschool-aged siblings.

We ask that grocery store gift cards be in denominations of $5, $10, or $25, to help us easily distribute them among students and their families.

A great way to purchase these gift cards is to support Chamber member grocery stores: The Country Store, Giant, and Hummer’s Meats. Monetary donations will be used to buy additional gift cards, which can also be used to purchase Christmas gifts and other essentials.

Every family will receive a Christmas card along with their gift cards. Families, along with the Donegal School District, have been extremely grateful for Chamber members’ donations over the past few years!

We ask that all donations be submitted by December 13th. Checks can be made out to the Mount Joy Chamber.
