The Mount Joy Chamber is once again accepting monetary and gift card donations for the homeless students of the Donegal School District and their families.
At this time the Donegal School District has 37 homeless students, 12 of which are unaccompanied homeless youth. This count does not include parents or preschool siblings of students.
We are asking that grocery store gift cards be in denominations of $5, $10 or $25 each so we can easily distribute them amongst the students and their families.
A great place to purchase those gift cards are at Chamber member grocery stores: The Country Store, Giant and Hummer’s Meats. Monetary donations will be used to purchase additional gift cards that can be used for purchasing Christmas gifts, etc.
Every family is also given a Christmas card with their gift cards. Families along with the Donegal School District have been extremely grateful for the Chamber members donations over the past few years!!
We will need all donations by December 13th.
